Our preferred court builder follows ASBA Guidelines for Court Construction. Beginning with the prep and excavation through concrete slab development, regular flatwork construction isn't sufficient to build a long-lasting court. If not built by trained professionals that follow the American Court Builders Association (ASBA) guidelines, many courts will likely fail the traditional foundational and acrylic surfacing longevity test. When built properly, a court built from the ground up using these specific guidelines and proper care and maintenance can last for decades with only some occasional re-surfacing required to maintain a beautiful and functional sports activity court. A proper initial court surfacing will last many years with regular cleaning and use. Concrete court building must be prepared and installed by court builders and surfacing specs and trained experts that understand the difference between a court slab and regular “flatwork” concrete installers.
